MACA (Lepidium meyenii)

  • Maca, an atomized root grown in the Peruvian Andes, is a powerful and 100% natural aphrodisiac
  • Contains vitamins, minerals, low fat and is considered an adaptogen, meaning it increases the resistance of the body to external conditions 
  • Four novel alkaloids have been found: Macaine 1, 2, 3, and 4; these are responsible for the activation of the hormone located in the brain that regulates the metabolism of calcium and phosphorus in the blood
  • It is estimated that the four alkaloids and the amino acid L-arginine are responsible for therapeutic effects

GUARANA (Paullinia cupana)

  • Guarana is an Amazon fruit containing caffeine; it increases alertness while reducing stress and fatigue
  • Natural aphrodisiac used by Amazon Indigenous people as well as a powerful antioxidant
  • In Brazil circa 1982, Dr. Aslan, who would later patent the famous GEROVITAL (a well-known anti-aging drug) said about guarana: “You naturally have one of the most powerful youth sources known today”

 HUANARPO MACHO (Jatropha macrantha)

  • Huanarpo macho is a medium shrubby tree with red-orange flowers
  • Indigenous to Peru and can be found in abundance in the Marañon River Valley in the Amazon and in the Puno district in Peru
  • Has the following active ingredients: steroids, saponins, tannins, flavonoids, and alkaloids
  • Blocks alpha-adrenergic receptors that reduce the effect of hormones that cause vasoconstriction of blood vessels

GRAVIOLA (Annona muricata)

  • Graviola or soursop comes from pulverized Annona muricata leaves
  • A strong immune booster used by Peruvian Indigenous people to treat many diseases
  • Anti-microbial and anti-parasitic properties

TURMERIC (Curcuma longa)

  • Turmeric is the spice that gives curry its yellow color
  • It has been used for thousands of years for medicinal purposes
  • Curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric; it has powerful anti-inflammatory properties and is a very strong antioxidant 
  • If you want to experience the full effects of turmeric, you need to take a supplement that contains a significant amount of curcumin

GINGER (Zingiber officinale)

  • Ginger is a flowering plant that is closely related to turmeric, cardamom, and galangal 
  • The rhizome (underground part of the stem) is the part commonly used as a spice 
  • Gingerol is the main bioactive compound in ginger, and it’s responsible for much of ginger’s medicinal properties 
  • Gingerol has powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects

AÇAI BERRY (Euterpe oleracea)

  • Açai berries are a Brazilian “superfruit” and a staple food in their native Amazon region 
  • This dark purple fruit certainly packs a lot of nutrition, particularly in antioxidants
  • Antioxidants neutralize the damaging effects of free radicals throughout the body 
  • If free radicals are not neutralized by antioxidants, they can damage cells and lead to a number of diseases, including diabetes, cancer, and heart disease

COMMON NETTLE or STINGING NETTLE (Urtica dioica)

  • Common nettle is a plant whose extracts help reduce inflammation, eliminate uric acid, and prevent gout
  • The most recent clinical trials conducted with standardized nettle extracts indicate a positive effect on urinary symptoms associated with BPH. In six-month trials, only 0.7% of patients showed minor side effects

ACHIOTE (Bixa orellana)

  • Achiote is a small tree native to Central America and northern South America
  • Its leaves have anti-inflammatory properties
  • Studies from different Peruvian universities show significant effects on patients with prostate inflammation
  • Dr. Luis Susaníbar Napurí, a renowned urologist with over 40 years’ experience, believes that achiote is an economical alternative for symptomatic prostate treatment in countries where the habit of using medicinal plants is deeply-rooted

SARSAPARILLA (Smilax aspera) 

  • Sarsaparilla is a climbing plant with high concentrations of parillin, a glucoside resembling saponin and characteristic of the American species
  • Contains carbohydrates, tannins, and mineral salts 
  • Used as a diuretic and adjuvant in natural anti-inflammatory therapy
  • According to some authors, it contains testosterone-, progesterone-, and cortisol-like hormonal structures
  • Essential for replenishing depleted hormones without subjecting the body to artificial hormones

CAT’S CLAW (Uncaria tomentosa)

  • Cat's claw is a climbing plant that grows in the Peruvian Amazon
  • The variety used in this product is the most effective: it has strong anti-inflammatory properties acknowledged in Europe and the Americas
  • The World Health Organization has stated about Cat’s claw: “Interest focused mainly on the alkaloids, given that at least six of them were able to increase immunity levels by up to 50%. Five of the alkaloids were clinically documented because they were effective against leukemia, tumors, ulcers, infections, and arthritis”
  • Peruvian Indigenous people use them for various purposes but mainly in cases of inflammation

AGUAJE (Mauritia flexuosa) 

  • Aguaje is a palm tree native to the Amazon. Its fruits contain high levels of vitamin A and E, as shown by studies conducted jointly at the Belgian Faculté de Sciences Agronomiques de l’Etat, Gembloux, and the National University of the Peruvian Amazon (1987), as well as another study performed by the Brazilian Federal University of the State of Pará (1998) 
  • It contains phytoestrogens derived from phenylpropane and has 21 to 38 times more vitamin A than a carrot 
  • It acts against menopause, osteoporosis, and estrogen deficiency since its phytoestrogens register as female hormones 
  • Aguaje contains sitosterol, a precursor of female progestogen-type hormones. For this reason, it is believed that aguaje capsules could help “increase breast size, reduce skin hairiness, and increase a woman’s beauty”
